Roots

Kurama, a rural town in northern Kyoto is probably best known for hot spring amine tourists while its main attraction Kurama Temple, a Buddhist temple said to be a spiritual spot for believers and alike, caught up Yun’s attention when being told by a friend. After some researches Kurama Temple won him as the first site in Kyoto to exhibit publicly.
Yun skipped all other mainstream spots and headed directly for ‘Roots Path of the Cedars’, 30 mins of trekking from temple’s main hall with 18kg on his shoulder, the hiking path is not that difficult to climb and could be more enjoyable with less luggage, his meriwether provided excellent grips and necessary boost to walk the him up there. Despite sweat dripping down from eyebrow those powerful roots charged Yun up and this place, like a stage, couldn’t be more matching for his public debut in Kyoto.
